I have completed the headstock, it didn’t go error free and I am not going to point out the errors. A good number of expletives were used. Other than the initial drill holes everything else is carved by hand. So without further ado here are a couple of pictures.

It consists of a maple neck with a 2.5mm walnut veneer (the back and sides are walnut) topped off with a 1mm tulip wood veneer. The tulip wood has a slight hint of green to it. I think the high contrast grain really sets it off.
